Sheena crowned top care worker at awards

The senior care worker from Kirkintilloch was up against five other colleagues from different care homes across the country.

Ben Taberner, Finance Director at Four Seasons Health Care, presented Sheena with her award and added, “Central support team members are sometimes the unsung heroes of this organisation. Without their help and support, some of the functions we perform wouldn’t be possible without these guys. Sheena was a fantastic candidate for this award. She is respected, admired and very loyal, and going the extra mile is just another day in the office for her. Congratulations Sheena.”

John Kirk, Managing Director for Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man, said: “Sheena is a fantastic lady, and a great asset for us to have up here in Scotland. The support she provides her colleagues to help them progress through qualifications is second to none. I’m glad she’s been recognised in this way. She is a very worthy winner in my eyes. Congratulations Sheena!”

On receiving the award, Sheena said: “I’m very proud and humbled to have won this award. I love my job, and helping other people learn all there is to know about care so they can make a difference to the residents they look after is complete job satisfaction for me.”
