Covid: Latest figures for East Dunbartonshire
Covid cases in East Dunbartonshire have seen a substantial drop.
For the seven days up to February 13, positive cases in the area fell to 67 in 100,000, according to the latest data from Public Health Scotland (PHS). The total number of positive cases was 73.
This compares to the worrying 265.1 cases per 100,000 locally at the start of January and total number of 288.
Some neighbourhoods in the area have been described by PHS as “suppressed”, meaning there are fewer than three positive cases. As the Herald went to press on Wednesday, these were: West Clober and Mains; Keystone and Dougalston; Kilmardinny East/West; South Castlehill and Thorn; Kessington East/West, and Torrance and Balmore.
