December 27, 1912

THE body of a man was found lying beside a hedge to the west of Knightswood Farm, immediately beyond the boundary of Greater Glasgow. The body was taken possession of by the Dumbartonshire police and taken to the mortuary at Bearsden, where it lay awaiting identification. It was believed that he had been overcome by the storm on Tuesday night and blown into the hedge. In one of his pockets a slip was found which said “Robert McGregor, carter, 63 Elder Park Street, Govan.”
