partick THISTLE go into Saturday’s match against Cowdenbeath looking to build on their superb home record.

They are unbeaten in the league at Firhill since going down 2-0 to Dunfermline on September 25 last year - two weeks after their only other home defeat when they lost 2-1 to Stirling.

Six victories and four draws at Firhill have helped the Jags climb to fourth position in the First Division.

The latest victory came on the road when they dumped league leaders Raith Rovers 2-0 on Saturday.

Chances to add to this away form were ruled out on Tuesday when their match against Falkirk at Westfield was postponed due to waterlogged pitch.

Ian McCall’s men go into this weekend’s match as strong favourites against second-bottom Cowdenbeath who were beaten 2-1 away to Raith Rovers on Tuesday night.

Thistle are on their travels again this Tuesday when they face bottom of the table Stirling Albion.
