WEST are hoping to build on the momentum of last Saturday’s cup and league victory when they face Hamilton in another cup game this Saturday.
The rugby club is full of confidence following the 14-0 away victory over Dalziel - andhad the added cheer of not susteining any injuries in the process.
On Saturday the Burnbrae outfit travel to face Hamilton and after that they have their first home game of the new year against Dunfermline on Saturday, January 5.
A club spokesman said: “It was excellent to come away with a win against Dalziel on Saturday in what were absolutely dreadful conditions.
“But more than this we did it in style without sustaining any injuries to any of the players.
“One of our biggest headaches this year has been the amount of players who are out recovering because of injuries sustained on the pitch.
“It has upset the flow of play and the consistency you get playing week in week out with the same people.
“We need to keep the winning momentum going when we face Hamilton on Saturday.”
The game against Dunfermline is also being billed as an important must-win match as they and Dalziel are all close on points at the bottom of the RBS Championship A group.
West are on 16 points, Dunfermline have 12 and Dalziel 11.
