West and Endrick games fall victim to wet weather

Both rugby teams in the district fell victim to the wet weather at the weekend.

West of Scotland RFC were due to welcome Dumfries to Burnbrae on Saturday but the pitch was judged as unplayable after an already saturated surface received another soaking overnight.

The match has been re-scheduled by the Scottish Rugby Union for this Saturday, February 22, although a final decision will be made on Saturday morning.

Strathendrick’s away game to Loch Lomond also suffered to same fate and will be played at a future date yet to be decided on.
