Strathendrick Rugby Club suffered a heavy 80-0 defeat in their first competitive game of the new season.
They took on Irvine at Ruth Menzies field in the RBS West Shield preliminary round and were without a number of regular players which made for a rather one-sided match.
Irvine scored their first try in the opening minute and after quarter of an hour had taken the score to 28-0 with four tries.

Despite a period of attacking, Endrick could not get on the scoreboard and in the last two minutes Irvine added two tries to finish the scoring.
This coming Saturday Endrick’s opening league fixture is away against Cumbernauld. Kick-off is 3pm. Also Endrick’s new under-18 development side will face a Cumbernauld side in their first league fixture at Fintry. This game starts at 2pm.
