Two tough games for the Jags

Partick Thistle face a tough double header with an away game at Inverness Caley Thistle on Saturday, followed by a home match against Celtic on Wednesday evening.

Club manager Alan Archibald will be hoping for a similar result against Caley Thistle to the last time they travelled north back in October, when they beat them 2-1.

With the Jags recording their second home win of the season on Saturday against Hibs, the squad will be looking to build on the confidence this has given them when they welcome league leaders Celtic to Firhill midweek.

Archibald admitted that getting two home wins in the last couple of weeks has gone a long way to take the pressure off the squad.

He said: “It takes pressure off your away form which we’ve relied on heavily this season and we shouldn’t have had to.

“Our home form means that we can go into these fixtures with confidence.”
