Partick Thistle have completed the signing on a one year contract of 27-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Osman.
The player featured in Saturday’s friendly with Dumbarton, wearing the number 20 shirt and he occupied a central midfield role for the first 45 minutes before being replaced by Gary Fraser.
This won’t be his first experience of football in Scotland. He was part of the Gretna side that played in the SPL in season 2007-2008; his time at the ill-fated club ending at the conclusion of that season when the club folded.
There has been no shortage in interest in Osman, who joined Northampton Town in time for the start of the following season. He started his career in the UK with Maidenhead United, then spent three years with Northampton clocking up 118 first team appearances.
Abdul then spent a season in Greece with Kerkyra before returning to England in 2012, signing for Crewe Alexandra making 80 first team appearances.
The player is set to make his first fully-fledged appearance for Thistle this Sunday when the squad travel to Belfast to face Glentoran in a friendly.
