Shock defeat as Thistle go down to Dumbarton

Partick Thistle slipped to five points behind league leaders Morton after a disastrous 2-0 defeat away to bottom of the league Dumbarton.

Defender Conrad Balatoni’s costly own goal saw him turn the ball into the Thistle net on 21 minutes in what was a humbling experience for the Firhill side.

There was worse to come in the second half when Bryan Prunty combined with Jim Lister to seal the win.
