PARTICK Thistle are offering their fans a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes this weekend.

The club, whose players have recently been training with the troops at the Army’s Catterick Garrison, is inviting supporters along to a special training session this Sunday – July 15 – to give them a taste of what the players go through to get fit for the new season ahead.

Some lucky supporters who bought their season tickets in April have won the chance to actually take part in the training session with the players.

For everyone else though they can relax, put their feet up and watch from the comfort of the Jackie Husband Stand as the boys go through their paces under the watchful eyes of gaffer Jackie McNamara and his assistant Simon Donnelly.

The gates open at 11.30am and the session start at noon. Admission for season ticket holders is free, with a £2 for non-season ticket holders. All proceeds go to Youth Development. Season tickets will be available for purchase on the day and for collection from the club offices before everything kicks off.

Jaggy MacB will be there as will Greaves Sports, so you’ll have the chance to purchase the popular new away kit.

The training session will last for approximately an hour but there will be a ‘meet and greet’ session with the manager and the players in the Jackie Husband Stand at the end of training.
