A battling performance from Rob Roy saw them take a share of the points on Saturday against Thorniewood.
Thorniewood took an early two-goal lead, but Scott Upton reduced the deficit before half-time, and another goal in stoppage time from substitute Dominic O’Halloran secured a point for Rabs.
Rob Roy manager Stewart Maxwell said: “It would be easy to criticise the team for not getting the result but you would have to credit their character for coming back.
“We also missed a penalty when we were 2-0 down and at that point I didn’t think it would be our day.
“But we scored immediately after that and really pushed them hard until the end.
“It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get the win I thought we deserved, but we’ll take the point at the end of the day.”
Maxwell also hopes to sign up one or two new players this week as he continues to fine-tune his squad for the season.
Striker John Stewart will not be offered a deal as his work commitments prevented him from returning to full fitness.
Richie Chang has also left the club by mutual consent and is now searching for a new club.
