Paul celebrates personal best

PAUL CARROLL was the fastest Clydesdale Harrier at the Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon.

The event also incorporated the Dunbartonshire championships and in total 14 club runners took part with seven pbs.

Carroll finishing eighth overall and was third veteran over 40 in a pb time of 1hr 17mins 16secs, followed by Donald Cameron (1.21.40 pb), Brian Gallagher (1.23.34), Alistair Greig (1.29.04 pb), Hugh Laverty (1.29.48), Martin King (1.30.09 pb), Stuart Allison (1.30.41 pb), Anne Murray (1.30.44 pb and 1st veteran over 40), Paul McKendry (1.31.39 pb), Fiona McCue (1.37.55), Gerry Kane (1.41.41), Dewar Stuart (1.41.45), Stephen McKie (2.05.51), and Evelyn McKie (2.05.52).

Paul, Donald and Brian were also winners of first male team overall and won 1st Dunbartonshire team.
