Partick Thistle hope to stop Celtic party

Partick Thistle will be looking to stop the Celtic party when they play them at Firhill tonight.

If Celtic win tonight they will lift the league trophy following Aberdeen’s 1-1 draw against Inverness Caley Thistle last night.

But The Jags are hoping to delay Celtic’s celebrations.

Commenting on tonight’s game midfielder Gary Fraser said: “It’s brilliant. It’s a game that I’ve waited for all season to be honest, and it’s exactly the sort of game we all look forward to. It’s a real chance for all the players to go out and impress against the best team in Scottish football just now.”

And he added: “All the players are bang up for every game but obviously the fact that Celtic can win the league adds an extra bite. We’ll just be concentrating on our own game and focussing on taking something from the match.”
