Partick Thistle head to Fir Park on Saturday to take on Motherwell and manager Alan Archibald is hoping his side can get back to winning ways after last week’s 1-1 draw with Hearts.

He said: “I am looking forward to playing Motherwell, they are a good side.

“I saw them playing the other week and although they have lost a couple of games they have a lot of talent in the side and will unquestionably feel this is their chance to get back to winning ways.

“However, although it was a sore one to take last week when Hearts scored in the last minute, I was ever so proud of the lads and we will be looking for a repeat performance with perhaps a different result.”

And on the injury front, Archibald added: “I am not sure of the injury situation at the moment although it looks unlikely that Sean Welsh will feature and we are monitoring Jordan McMillan as he recovers from injury. Fingers crossed we will have everyone else available for selection. There will be an opportunity e for someone to come in and grab their chance.”

Thistle face Cowdenbeath at home on Tuesday in the League Cup. Kick-off is at 7.45pm
