Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald will take a lot of positives from their Ross County game as he prepares for Hibs Firhill visit next week.
Archibald said the squad’s 1-1 score in Dingwall last Saturday was definitely a point gained rather than two points lost,
He said: “There were a lot of positives for me. None more so than the shape and the discipline we showed in what were very difficult pitch conditions. We certainly controlled possession and made sure that the home team rarely threatened our goal. While I was disappointed with some of the passing, there was plenty of other aspects that were good and we came away very much with a decent point.”
There is little doubt now that the last 10 league games are shaping up to be very exciting for the teams in and around Thistle and the manager knows that his players are ready for the battle.
He added: “I am very confident that we are heading in a good direction. We now just have to focus on the game against Hibs coming up next week. I am not sure if the break is coming at a good time or not, I think I would rather the game was this week.”
