Partick Thistle avoid play-offs with convincing win over Hearts

There were celebrations in the Partick Thistle dressing room after their stunning 4-2 demolition of Hearts at Tynecastle - to secure their place in the top flight next season.

Three second half goals from Gary Fraser, Lee Mair and Kallum Higginbotham saved the Firhill outfit from a nailbiting final game this Saturday when they play Ross County at home.

Callum Paterson put Hearts ahead in 16 minutes but Lyle Taylor fired Partick level on the half-hour mark. But Danny Wilson restored the home sides lead with a header five minutes from the break.
