No thaw causes rugby call-offs

BOTH West and Strathendrick’s rugby matches fell victim to the freezing conditions at the weekend.

West were due to play Cartha Queens Park but the visitor’s pitch was frozen solid. This week the Burnbrae squad have their fingers crossed when they hopefully welcome Dalziel to Milngavie for a West Regional Cup.

Strathendrick’s postponed games are also starting to stack up. Their last two games have been cancelled due to frozen pitches. Last week’s Cambuslang game away and the previous week’s home game against Annan were both postponed until a later date, which Endrick scheduled to now play Annan in March.
