IN the Kelvin and Allander Seniors Bowling League this week, Bearsden’s hopes of securing a third successive league title were dented when they lost, at home, to Milngavie 4-0.
Barr and Stroud also secured maximum points in a tight match against Claremont, as did Westerton against Killermont.
In the other games, Kelvindale and Lenzie both had good wins in their home games against Maryhill and Hyndland, respectively.
Milngavie maintain their lead at the top with 14 points followed by Barr and Stroud, 13 and Westerton with 10.
Lenzie are next on nine, one point ahead of Killermont. In the bottom half of the table the table reads: Kelvindale six, Claremont and Hyndland 4 points and Bearsden and Maryhill two points each.
However, it should be noted Westerton, Claremont and Bearsden all have games in hand.
