Last Sunday was the Cumbernauld 10k which had Clydesdale Harrier Pamela McCrossan running well to finish as second female in a time of 42.42.
The previous weekend was the Kilmacolm Half Marathon and 10k.
In the Half Marathon Pamela McCrossan was again second female running 1.33.58 in appalling weather conditions. In the 10k fastest harrier was Alan Dick (42.16), Paul McKendry (43.56), and David Mitchell (49.02).
Future races for the harriers include the Loch Ness Marathon and the River Ness 10k both on the 28th September in Inverness.
The first three races in the cross country calendar commence on the 12th October 12 with the West Districts Cross Country Relays at Hamilton Racecourse (entries close 28th September).
The following Saturday (19th) is the Dunbartonshire Cross Country Relays at Posties Park in Dumbarton. The following Saturday (26th) is the National Cross Country Relays at Cumbernauld. Would all harriers experienced and new to cross country please make an effort to take part in at least one of the events! The more teams we get out the better!
Finally for all senior harriers who train on Thursday nights just a reminder that the meeting place has changed to the Playdrome at 6.45pm.
