Bankier and fellow mixed doubles world silver medalist Robert Blair continued in their winning ways in the World Mixed Team Championships, beating the USA 4-1 to replicate their winning score-line over Russia on Sunday and take a commanding lead in Group 2A.
On Sunday the pair won their opening mixed doubles matches 21-13 21-6 against Ho Halim Haryanto and Jamie Subandhi.
Meanwhile Scotland team mate Kieran Merrilees kept up his good form by toppling Howard Shu 21-16 21-11 in the men’s singles.
It then fell to Kirsty Gilmour to again secure a winning lead when she defeated Iris Wang 21-9 21-15.
