Milngavie Boys Football Club recently marked a milestone in its history when it celebrating its 25th anniversary.

To mark the occasion the club invited Rangers FC player Daniel Stoney (centre) to come along to Colquhoun Park, where the club held a football tournament to mark the occasion.

The midfielder chatted to the young players and gave them some tips and hints on ball control.

To many youngsters Milngavie BC has been the home of football in the town for many years.

The club’s home ground is Oakburn Park, just off Craigdhu Road in Milngavie, and over the years it has been improved to include a new pavilion.

In the 2012/2013 season the club had nine teams for youngsters born in 2003, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, and a senior team iknown as Milngavie Boys Club Amateurs.

The teams play in four different local leagues: Glasgow Amateur Development Youth Football League, Dunbartonshire Football Development League and the Glasgow and District Saturday Morning League.
