THE new junior golf champ at Balfron Golf Society had a double celebration when she also scored a hole-in-one at the final.
Lauren Edwards (13) achieved what most golfers wait a lifetime to do on the very challenging par 3 112 yard sixth hole.
The final was played at The Shian course earlier last month and the young golfer, who has an unofficial handicap of 30, beat defending champion Kirsty Findlay.
She played the shot with her new four iron, watching the ball bounce a couple of times before it ran on and disappeared into the hole.
Allan Mulgrew, the junior convener at the club said: “This is the first one I have seen in a couple of years. We usually get one every three or four years, but some golfers wait a lifetime to achieve this.”
