Jags put to the sword by Aberdeen

To say it wasn’t Partick Thistle night is a bit of an understatement - as the visitors returned from Pittodrie to lick their wounds after a 4-0 defeat to the Dons.

Aberdeen were clinical in their execution with Niall McGinn’s double, opening the scoring in the 25 minute and finishing the rout four minutes from time.

In between this stunning goals came from Calvin Zola after 39 minutes and Michael Hector 19 minutes into the secon half.

The win puts the Dons into second place behind Celtic with Thistle in eighth.

This weekend Thistle have a home game when they welcome St Mirren to Firhill. Kick-off is 3pm.
