Imogen Bankier part of Scotland squad for Commonwealth Games

Milngavie’s Imogen Bankier has been selected as one of the 10-strong badminton squad for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Bankier is ranked 21st in the world, having won four international women’s doubles titles in the past year with Bulgarian partner Petya Nedelcheva, but has also teamed up with Kirsty Gilmour to great effect and hopes to repeat this at the Games when Gilmour will partner Bankier in the women’s doubles.

The 26-year-old will also compete in the mixed doubles with Robert Blair.
