CLYDESDALE HARRIERS athletes were involved in the Central and South of Scotland League at Wishaw recently.
This was the third and final track and field meeting in this league for the year which cemented the club’s position in second place in Division 2.
Juniors and Seniors alike mucked in and competed in as many events as they could, ranging from 100m, 3000m, high jump and triple jump to name but a few.
Meanwhile The Tour of Clydeside in Kilbarchan involving a 5.5 Mile Trail Race, fastest Harrier was Paul Carroll finishing fifth in a 31mins 19secs, followed by Paul McKendry (37.17), and Bobby Young (39.18).
The following day in the Garscube Gallop Multi-Terrain race which was run around Dawsholm Park (approximately 5k).
Fastest Harrier was again Paul Carroll, finishing 6th overall in a time of 17mins 43secs, followed by Paul McKendry (22.18), and Bobby Young (24.52).
And in the Broadwood 5k McKendry was fourth overall in a time of 17.25, followed by Hugh Laverty (20.23), Paul McKendry (21.20), Bobby Young (22.23), and Colin Gray (24.04).
The final race in the Tour of Clydeside was the Bellahouston Belter which had Paul Carroll finishing third overall in a time of 35.05, followed by Bobby Young (47.03).
Paul also finished as third overall for the series.
