Clydesdale Harriers runners were in action in the recent Bute Highland Games 10k.
Fastest harrier was Michael Divers finishing in a time of 39mins in windy conditions. This was followed by Pamela McCrossan (42.29 and second female), and Marina McCallum (44.46 and third female).
Further afield two club runners were in France to run La Ronde des Fleurs 10k in Bagneres de Luchon. Fastest athlete was Dewar Stewart who finished in a time of 45.10, followed by Hylda Stewart (48.59 and first veteran over 50).
And in the Glasgow 800 SVHC 10k at Pollok Park fastest club runner was Paul Carroll (35.19). He was followed by Pamela McCrossan (41.51), Pete Cartwright (46.48), Watson Jones (48.02), and Marina McCallum (48.03).
The club is now looking for new members. If you want to come along then training sessions are: Tuesdays (juniors and seniors) 7pm at St Peter the Apostle School for track and field sessions. On Thursdays most seniors meet at 6.50pm opposite The Playdrome for road and canal towpath sessions (endurance and speed sessions). The juniors meet in the summer at the track (St Peter the Apostle) and winter tbc at 7pm. More information on the club can be found on the website www.clydesdaleharriers.co.uk
