BALMORE Golf Club held its Stableford event on Sunday with 56 golfers taking part.

Results: Division 1: Scott Wallace 39 points (10), John Bennett 38 points (7), Nicky Tigg 37 points (10).

Division 2: Alexander Logan 39 points (17), Kenneth Stevens 36 points (16),John Gallagher 34 points (16).

Division 3: Chris Preen 41 points (25), Donal Dowds 40 points (22), Ross Hughes 35 points (19).

The previous day, on Saturday in the Ladies’ Three clubs and a putter event which attracted 19 golfers, the results were: Rachel McClelland 71, Carol Sim 77, Glenda Darroch 78,

In the club’s Tuesday Medal which attracted 69 golfers the best gross was Robbie Kemsley with 70. Results: Division 1: Robbie Kemsley 65 (5), Tommy Montgomerie 67 (11), Lawrence Gilmour 68 (11). Division 2: Andrew Monachan 60 (17), Robert Alexander 65 (14), Raemond Smith 66 (13). Division 3: Richard Stuart 65 (20), Jamie Shields 68 (21), John Taylor 69 (20) acb back.

BEARSDEN Golf Club Ladies’section held their third Stableford Competition for the Captain’s Charity (The Seagull Trust) last Thursday. The SSS was 71 and CSS 70, and a total of 24 golfers took part.

In the one class the results were: L. MacDougall (31) 41 pts, V. Leitch (27) 37. pts (acb), C. Siebelt (18) 37pts, M. Cavin (30) 37 pts.

DOUGLAS Park held its Tri-Am Trophy on Saturday. Results: M. Hamilton, I. Hamilton, R. Murison, 61 3.5 57.5, S. Wightman, M Anderson, I Fraser (jnr) 62 2.9 59.1, B. Murie, G. Young, G. McMillan, 61 1.7 59.3, Scott Allison, Craig Turner, Colin MacDonald 62 2.7 59.3, Alistair Forrest, Gordon McGregor, John Rattray 63 3.2 59.8, Ronnie Murison, George Smith, Gregor Smyth 63 3.0 60.0.

In the club’s Tuesday Medal the results were: 1st Class: James Hendry 67 (2) 65, Scott McMillan 76 (9) 67, Brian Murie 74 (7) 67. 2nd Class: John Dunn 81 (16) 65, Robert Dobie 81 (14) 67, Stephen Miller 88 (21) 67.
