A Milngavie family of three made history at their local club after all reaching the semi-finals in the club championships.
Alan Foggo, wife Jill and their 15-year-old son Murray were competing in Milngavie Golf Club’s men’s women’s and junior club championships, respectively.
Unfortunately Alan (44) was the only one who went on to win - taking the men’s title.
He said: “I won this championship in 2009 so it feels great to win again. Jill has won the ladies champion eight times before, but this would have been the first time for Murray.”
Murray , a pupil at The High School of Glasgow, who plays off a handicap of 14, was beaten for a place in the final by the eventual winner Ross Hardie.
Alan said he believed this was the first time a husband, wife and son trio had all been in club championships at the same time.
The land surveyor added: “The conditions were quite tough with breezy weather. I won on the 38th hole after playing two 18 hole rounds.”
Vice captain Sandy Harold said: “Three family members getting through to their respective club championship semi-finals is unique in the club’s 112 year history. Both Alan and Jill are very good golfers and Murray is a fast improving player. I dare say we will be seeing more of him.”
