Garscube Harriers athlete Marco Consani smashed the course record at Saturday’s sixth Glasgow-Edinburgh Double Marathon.
He decimated a star studied international field to complete the 56 mile race in a new record time of 6hrs 19min 35sec.
Meanwhile on Sunday in the Lochaber Marathon in Fort William, club runner Donald McPartlin finished in the brilliant time of 2hrs 50mins, while Joanne Robertson competing in her first marathon finshed in 4hrs 3mins - impressive results considering the race was run in atrocious weather conditions.
In other UK marathons the times are: Manchester; first home for Garscube Katie White in 2hrs 57mins, John McLauchlin 3hrs 06mins and Paul Elliot 3hrs 8mins; Brighton, Tariq Abdullah 4hrs 32mins.
Further afield in the Milan Marathon John Murray fihished in 3hrs 02mins.
