Rob Roy left Westfield Park with a comfortable victory over Dunipace with all five goals coming from individual scorers.
Following an early defensive scare for Rabs when the ball was fired into the side netting, the visitors began to have the better of possession.
Morton should have put Rabs ahead in the 10th minute but allowed home keeper Mather time to make a crucial block, the ball was sent up field and this time it was Rob Roy keeper Brown who was called into action saving low from Mallan.
Rabs took a 32nd minute lead when Duff sent over an accurate cross for Morton to place his header into the Dunipace net. Minutes later Moffat connected with a McMenamin free-kick but was unlucky to see his header clatter against the crossbar.
Duff was proving a serious handful to the ‘Pace defence and again he was the provider as Rabs snatched a second goal three minutes before the half-time whistle when he crossed from the left to the far post where Finnigan had arrived to knock the ball into the net.
Dunipace began the second half on the attack and only a perfectly timed tackle from Hughes prevented Espener’s run through on goal before Batchelor’s effort on goal flew over the bar.
Rabs extended their lead in the 56th minute when McMenamin’s corner was only partially cleared and the ball broke to McKechnie who wasted no time in despatching a volley past Mather from the edge of the penalty box.
As the home side tired, play was seldom out of their half. Moffat headed a McMenamin free-kick past the post, Upton shot just wide with the trialist testing Mather with a low drive, then in the 72nd minute Rabs were awarded a penalty kick when McMenamin was tripped by Smith in the box, The trialist confidently drilled the spot-kick past Mather for the Kirky sides fourth.
Rob Roy wrapped up the scoring and the three points in the 84th minute when substitute Aitken rose with a Pace defender to send a back header into the net.
McMenamin came close to making it six minutes later when his shot from distance went narrowly past the post.
