TOP indoor climber Natalie Berry finished fifth in a prestigious French competition.
The language student from Bearsden, who is spending time in France as part of her studies made the finals of the Coupe de France competition in Valence earlier this week.
The 20-year-old former Bearsden Academy pupil said she: “I’m really happy with that result, as I’ve not been training as much because of starting my job in France as part of my languages degree.
“I have been doing mainly bouldering competitions over the last year and this was my first lead competition for quite a while.”
The competition is part of a series that are held throughout France, which attract their top climbers.
Natalie is now hoping to compete in the next round, to be held in Chamonix next week.
