Clydesdale trio in 10 miler

Clydesdale Harriers trio Brian Campbell, Bobby Young and Peter Cartwright competed in the BMAF 10 Mile Championships at Netherhall.

Better known in the club as The three amigos, the runners were among 70 other athletes who took part in the race.

Fastest was Bobby Young (75.09), followed by Brian Campbell (78.52), and Pete Cartwright (80.42), with them winning team gold in the 65-74 age category.

In 10 days time (March 16) the club is organising the Clydebank 5k and volunteers are asked to come along and help.

The race starts in Clydebank Business Park and finishes on the Forth and Clyde Canal near Kilbowie Road. Registration is at the Playdrome before the race starts at 2pm. Anyone wishing to volunteer please report to Peter Rudzinski on the day or contact him beforehand.

Forthcoming races include Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon (9am on the 9th March), the Trimpell 20 (March 16), and the Lochaber Marathon (April 6).
