Clydesdale Harrier athlete Watson Jones was the fastest club runner in the recent Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k race at Pollock Park. His time was 47mins 53secs. He was also the first veteran over 70.
Next club runner in was Stephen McKee (48.22), and Evelyn McKee (52.22).
In the Kirkintilloch Olympians 10k - which this year incorporated the West Districts Championships - fastest harrier was Paul Carroll (35.54), followed by Pamela McCrossan (41.57 and 1st veteran over 45 and also 1st West District veteran over 50), Bobby Young (42.26), and Yvonne Green (48.33).
And in a 5,000m run on the local running track at St Peter the Apostle School, fastest harrier was again Paul Carroll (17.25), followed by Kevin Farmer (18.17), Hugh Laverty (19.32), Alan Dick (19.41), Paul McKendry (19.52), Pamela McCrossan (20.13), P. Dayliss (20.18), Stephen McKee (21.23), Watson Jones (22.32), Marina McCallum (22.32), and J. Mayor (27.00).
