Clydesdale Harriers athletes record good times

A number of Clydesdale Harrier runners were in action over the last couple of weeks.

Tricia Stevenson finished the Experian Robin Hood Marathon well up the field in a time of 4hrs 45.05mins. Also that day was the Barnstaple Half Marathon which had Hylda Stewart finishing as second vet over 55 in a new personal best time of 1.48.57.

And in the Clyde Stride 40 Mile Ultra race, Fiona McCue had an excellent run finishing as fifth female in 6hrs 35mins over the mixed road and trail run.

The George Cummings Road Relays in Houston, held on the same day, had two Clydesdale men’s teams taking part. The second of these was a composite team. The ‘A’ Team had Kevin Farmer running first over the 2.7 mile course finishing in 15.17mins, changing to Alan Dick (16.59), changing to Paul Carroll (14.42), finally changing to Paul McKendry (17.16). The team finished as 19th team overall. The ‘B’ Team had Pete Cartwright running first (18.48), changing to Lewis Rome (17.51), changing to Bobby Young (15.54), and finally changing to Peter Rudzinski (21.37).
