Partick Thistle boss Alan Archibald admitted it will be a tough challenge against on-form Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup 4th round this Sunday.
The Firhill gaffer said his players knew what they were up against having played the Dons twice this season and losing heavily on both occasions.
Archibald said: “Playing in a cup competition has a totally different feel to it than playing in the league.
“We will be going up there with a fresh perspective. Anything can happen in cup games.”
With a number of recent suspensions Archibald will be without a number of players, although others are now allowed to play again.
After being sent off against St Mirren, Stephen O’Donnell served his one game suspension last weekend and is available for selection against Aberdeen on Sunday.
Conrad Balatoni’s ordering off at Tannadice last Saturday is competition specific so he is also available for Sunday’s cup tie. However, Stuart Bannigan’s red card against Dundee United put him out for the next two games.
Aaron Muirhead is also out for Sunday.
