Catriona’s cup joy in Scottish Championships

GARSCUBE Harriers’ runner Catriona Graves won the U15 4,000 metre Scottish Cross Country Championships in 15mins 40secs.

She was one of 27 club members taking part on Saturday in Falkirk.

Catriona (right) took control of the race very early on and led by 25 metres at the halfway point.

She cruised home to win easily by 15 seconds.

On the same day Garscube Harriers member Debbie Consani was the first lady to finish the Strathclyde Parkrun 5k race at her first attempt. She came 12th overall in 21mins 25secs.

In the Glasgow Parkrun 5k at Pollok Park, Bobby Rossborough was first to finish in 38th place in 20mins 55secs followed by: 66th Stephen Wilson - 22:03, 104th Cody Stevenson - 23:28, 165th Kieran McLaughlin - 25:14, 166th Scott McPherson - 25:16, 191st Stuart Irvine - 26:25, 251st Caroline Dow - 28:57 and 336th Graham Irving - 36:29 (race PB). 342 finished.
