IN the Kelvin and Allander Seniors Bowling League all but one of this week’s matches were played to a conclusion despite the wet weather.
The exception being Milngavie’s away game at Maryhill where rain stopped play with only one rink having completed the minimum permitted number of ends.
Milngavie gained the two points from this completed game but the other game will require to be played to a finish at a later date.
Killermont continued their recent good form with a 4–0 home win against Kelvindale while Barr & Stroud, for the fourth successive week, could only secure a 2–2 draw, on this occasion, away at Lenzie. Bearsden also had to settle for a share of the points in their home game against Hyndland and Westerton continued to improve their position with a tight 4–0 away win against Claremont.
After 10 weeks, Milngavie continue to top the table with 30 points, one point ahead of Killermont on 29, followed by Barr & Stroud, 25 and Westerton, 22. Lenzie are mid-table on 19, with Bearsden, 17, Hyndland, 16, Maryhill, 14, Claremont, 10 and finally, Kelvindale, 8.
