Two Bearsden brothers are on top of the world after defending their titles at Bearsden Ski Club’s Freestyle Championships last Saturday.
Snowboarder Matt (17) and younger brother, skier Chris (16), successful beat off stiff competition to clinch gold medals in the ski club’s championships which also incorporates the ‘Go Big of Go Home’ national championships.
Manager of Bearsden Ski Club, Gordon Scott, said: “It was an excellent championship that was well supported by the competitors’ families. There must have been around 100 competitors taking part and the standard was very high.
“We had skiers and snowboarders coming from as far afield as the south of England.”
Both brothers had spent many hours perfecting the aerial acrobatics that won them their medals.
Matt was pipped to the title in 2012 by his older brother, Danny, who did not take part this year because he is currently in America.
Chris, the youngest in the trio, has been skiing for around eight years and is now a member of the GB Junior Freestyle Team.
