Jags’ gaffer Alan Archibald is looking to extend Bolton Wanderers’ Gary Fraser, who has been on loan from to the Firhill outfit since the start of the season.

The 19-year-old, who joined Bolton from Hamilton in 2013, has played four times for Partick Thistle since arriving on a short-term deal in the summer.

Archibald said:“We’re not any closer, but we’re in talks and we’ve spoken to his agent and we’ll hopefully get something sorted, but I’m not sure when we’ll hear.”

And he added that Fraser was keen to stay and he hoped to know either way by the beginning of January.

The midfielder who also plays in defence hasn’t featured for Partick since being suspended following a red card against Dunfermline in the under 20s.
