A BEARSDEN ‘care at home’ organisation has been named one of the top care providers in Scotland.

Compcare, based in Roman Road, was chosen as a finalist for the ‘Care at Home Provider of the Year Award 2012’ after being selected from more than 200 entries for this year’s award.

Unfortunately they weren’t selected as a winner at the awards ceremony at the Marriot Hotel in Glasgow on Friday, June 1 but they were all proud to make it so far in the selection process.

Director of Compcare, Colin Beveridge (74) from Glasgow, said: “I am extremely pleased that Compcare has been nominated for this award.

“All the credit must go to the management team and our support staff for their excellent work over the last year and indeed for the 23 years of the company’s existence.

“I am very proud of their dedication and commitment to the needs of the people we support.

“The success of the company is as a result of their outstanding performance.”

Janet Campbell, Compcare manager, nominated Colin and Compcare for the award, she said: “I feel that Compcare truly excels in meeting clients individual care needs.

“Each client is considered an individual and treated with the highest dignity and respect.

“Through his work, Colin and in turn, Compare has given local vulnerable people the choice and support necessary to remain within their own homes - maintaining their independence and living life to the full.

“The company has a strong, happy, and well qualified workforce willing to go that extra mile.”
