Local solicitors have thanked clients who helped them raise money for charity by having their will written during November’s Will Aid month.
They gave up their time to write wills and instead of charging their usual fee, invited people to donate to nine charities.
The solicitors worked hard to help as many people as possible to get the protection of a proper will, and to raise much needed funds to improve the lives people in need in the UK and around the world.
Nationwide, the campaign has been very successful, encouraging 24,000 people to make a will and raising nearly £2.1m in donations.
In addition, an estimated £10million was pledged as gifts to the Will Aid charities.
Local soilcitors taking part were Paterson Holms, Roman Road, Bearsden who raised £1385, Rennie Mcinnes, Mosshead Road, Bearsden, who raised £240 and Kerslands Solicitors, Station Road, Milngavie, who raised £750.
