AN MSP has assured people that hassle caused by major water works in Westerton will be worth it in the end.
Scottish Water is carrying out £500,000 worth of replacements to old mains - which could lead to temporary disruption of supply.
However, Bearsden MSP Fiona McLeod says she has been in touch with the utility who have assured her the work will go ahead as smoothly as possible.
She said: “Scottish Water is investing a lot of money in the Bearsden pipe infrastructure to make our drinking water cleaner and pipes stronger. Although we will have to endure five weeks of works and disruption – it will definitely be to our benefit in the end.
“If you experience any exceptional difficulties please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will contact Scottish Water on your behalf.”
