Urbaniks Street Skool of Dance, which has classes in Milngavie, is delighted to have three teams that have qualified to take part in this years Udo World Street Dance Championships 2015.

Under 14’s team - The U Crew, Under 18’s team - The Honeys, and a parents crew The Misdameanaz are all training hard for this highly prestigious event.

Teams spend the year battling hard against the best dancers in the country, taking part in regional qualifiers throughout Scotland and England, to secure a place at The Worlds, which takes place in Glasgow’s SECC from August 28 to 30.

Urbaniks dancers have had a superb year at these qualifiers, with 54 first place trophies, and are proud to be The British and Scottish Champions.

Urbaniks is a family business, with husband and wife Paul and Pauline Joseph starting the school up 11 years ago, after enjoying a successful career as professional dancers first. Their eldest daughter Honey (16) (they have four children who all dance) is the choreographer of her own crew ‘The Honeys’.

She has choreographed and performed for TV, music videos, and theatre productions and her team work has made the finals at World Championship level for three consecutive years.
