THE historic Cross Keys Pub in Milngavie has been bought by a pair of successful businessmen - and they have exciting plans for its future.

Brothers, Pravesh and Rahul Randev, who already own several high profile businesses in Lenzie, Bishopbriggs and Glasgow are going to run the Cross Keys on Station Road, which is one of Milngavie’s oldest pubs and is believed to date back to the 1800s.

They are going to completely refurbish the premises in January and hope to re-open in March or April next year.

Between them they already own Oregano restaurant and The Eagle Lodge in Bishopbriggs, Rasoi indian restaurant in Lenzie which recently won “Indian restaurant of 2012” in the Curry Awards in Glasgow, Carriages bar and Irrocco restaurant, both in Lenzie.

Architects are currently drawing up designs for a modernised interior at The Cross Keys and the brothers are planning a substantial re-fit to create a bistro style restaurant and bar.
