Tenants can see for themselves whether landlords are good

Tenants in more than 5,400 East Dunbartonshire households now have access to the 2015 landlord reports at www.scottishhousingregulator.gov.uk.

The latest results update the performance of Scotland’s social landlords against the Scottish Social Housing Charter in areas that tenants told the Regulator matter most – homes and rents, quality and maintenance, neighbourhoods, tenant satisfaction and value for money.

The data, available online, uses annual returns from landlords and also takes tenants’ views into account. Scottish Housing Regulator chairwoman Kay Blair said: “Our online comparison tool lets tenants quickly see how their landlord performed this year, how that compares with last year and with other landlords across Scotland.”

She said the easy-access data would empower thousands of East Dunbartonshire tenants. The reports are online at www.scottishhousingregulator.gov.uk.
