Teenagers can have their say in politics

Strathkelvin and Bearsden MSP Fiona McLeod has urged all 16-17 year olds to continue to engage in politics by responding to a Scottish Parliament online survey.

She said: “The level of political engagement across Scotland has been one of the best aspects of the referendum, and at 91 per cent turnout East Dunbartonshire was a shining example of that.”

“I was particularly struck by the engagement of young people in the many schools, colleges, universities and youth groups that I spoke at over the course of the referendum campaign.

“The Scottish Parliament is asking for their opinions and experience of the referendum.”
