EAST Dunbartonshire Council has been presented with healthy living awards for its eateries at Kelvinbank Resource Centre, Broomhill Bistro and Big Eat at Tom Johnston House.
The awards aim to make it easier for customers to know where to go for healthier food when eating away from home, with caterers needing to meet a set of key criteria to ensure they are providing and supporting healthier eating.
Council Leader Rhondda Geekie said, “We are really proud of our catering facilities at East Dunbartonshire Council. The food choice is not only varied and tasty, but all customers know that the products are prepared using both healthier ingredients and cooking methods. This is reassuring to customers who do want to make healthier choices when eating.”
