Talk on human anatomy in Milngavie on Thursday, November 8

A WELL-known human anatomy lecturer is going to give the next ‘Thinking Allowed’ lecture in Cairns Church, Milngavie, on Thursday, November 8 at 7.30pm for 8pm.

Few doctors who trained at Glasgow University will not have been taught by Dr Shaw-Dunn.

He qualified in science and medicine at the University of Glasgow and became a human anatomist with a busy career in teaching and research.

Dr Shaw currently holds an Honorary Fellowship at the University and was brought up in the liberal evangelical mainstream of the Church of Scotland. He has also served on the Liturgical Committee of the General Assembly.

His lecture will try to explain the connections between anatomy - the study of the human body - and the church, concerned with the spiritual growth of the living human.
