A GREAT time was had by all at the annual gig in memory of Erne Parkin, held in Milngavie’s Fraser Centre.

Erne was a well known local musician and events organiser and his favourite charity, the Suzy Fund, raises money for impoverished children in Africa.

A fantastic total of £857 was raised on the night for the Fund, much to the delight of organisers.

Erne’s widow, Dorothy, said: “It was a brilliant night and all the people who turned up, whether guests or musicians, did us proud.”

Those playing included the Banditos, The Slow Train, John McNamara. Mike Simons, Iain Reekie and Tim Black.
